Karungali Trishul – Mahadev and Maa Durga's Divine Weapon for Home Protection

The Trishul (Trident) is the most powerful divine weapon in Sanatan Dharma — carried by Mahadev himself, and also by Maa Durga and Maa Kali. Its three points represent the three gunas (sattva, rajas, tamas) and the destruction of the three types of suffering. Wherever the Trishul is established, negative forces cannot stay.

This Trishul is hand-carved from Karungali (Black Ebony) — the sacred wood associated with Lord Shani and revered in South Indian tradition for absorbing and repelling negative energy. When the Trishul's divine power combines with Karungali's protective nature, the effect is believed to become many times stronger than an ordinary Trishul.

Where to Keep It

• In the ghar ka mandir or puja room — this is the most recommended place
• Beside a Shivling, Shiva photo, or Durga/Kali murti
• At the main entrance to guard the doorway
• In the shop, office or cash counter for business protection
• Always keep it upright on a clean cloth or stand — never on the bare floor

How to Worship

1. Clean the Trishul with a soft dry cloth before establishing it.
2. Offer vibhuti, kumkum, chandan or flowers — especially on Mondays, Tuesdays and during Navratri or Mahashivratri.
3. Chant "Om Namah Shivaya" or "Om Dum Durgaye Namaha" 11 or 108 times.
4. Light a diya and dhoop, and pray with a clear intention for the protection of your home.

Care Instructions

Keep away from water and chemicals. Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Do not wash. Store in a clean, dry place. If the wood looks dry, apply a light coat of pure oil.
